Types of Banner Advertising
We offer flat bi-weekly, monthly or multi-month rates on our banners. You can target your banner throughout the site or you can select them to be posted specific states.
We are very selective regarding the types of organizations Your firm must clearly be promoting products or
services that target professional educators.
Types & Dimensions of Banners
There are two general types of banners ads: top and side.
Top Banners:
The top banner is placed between the header graphic the main body of content. See graphic below.
The dimensions of the top banner is 600 x 52 pixels. Acceptable formats include gif, jpg, and animated gif.
The maximum size for a top banner is to be 29K.
Side Banners:
The side banner is placed within the left-hand column of Education Canada.
They can be located in the "Browse Employers" or "Inside the ECN" part of the left-hand column.
See graphic below to see placement areas. The dimensions of the top banner is 140 x 52 pixels.
Acceptable formats include gif, jpg, and animated gif. The maximum size for a top banner is to be 13K.
Where are Banner Ads Allowed:
To ensure the integrity of our website, Education Canada only permits banner advertising on specific pages. Below is a
list of the pages where banners ads are allowed to be placed.
- Job Search Page
- Provincial Pages
- Specific Regional Pages (within Provincial pages)
- Content Section Pages (i.e.: Web Directory, Resource Centre, etc ...)
- My ECN Centre
- Employer Centre
Note: Education Canada Network does not allow banner advertising on our home page.
