York House School Info

York House School, located in the heart of Vancouver, is one of Canada’s leading independent schools for girls. Founded in 1932 by seven progressive and insightful women, York House provides an outstanding education for approximately 650 girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. With bold and challenging academic, athletic, arts, and community service programs, York House is distinguished by its unwavering focus on the well-rounded student as an individual in the community. A York House girl is honoured for what makes her exceptional, and the School is devoted to helping discover each girl’s talents, abilities, and ambitions. Each student is encouraged and challenged to pursue personal and academic excellence, to respect and appreciate individual differences and to develop a sense of responsibility to the global community. From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 our girls thrive in a supportive and community-minded environment.
