Details:
NNCEA is seeking a person for the above position to March 2018 with possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for the all the administrative/clerical duties for the Nehetho Language and Culture Team. Under the direction of the assigned Administrator and the Traditional/Cultural advisor/coordinator, the team of teachers, a curriculum specialist, and support personnel who will be responsible for the phasing in of Cree immersion for N/K, curriculum preparation/development, promoting Aboriginal perspectives into the curriculum and providing language and cultural supports/activities to students/ teachers in general. The Administrative Clerk would be accountable to the NNCEA Assistant Director and the Nehetho Language/Culture Team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-to set up a work space with all needed materials/equipment
-performs assigned tasks accordingly and willingness to assist
-to greet visitors; answer incoming calls; take messages; set up a filing system & do the filing/typing
-to advertise information as requested
-monitors/orders needed supplies for the team
-to prepare/submit monthly reports, all agendas/minutes, correspondence, etc.
-other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: -gr. 12 graduate with additional training in business & work experience

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
-able to take direction & work with minimal direction -take/prepare minutes/agendas, etc.
-excellent clerical/typing/filing/organizational skills -computer/technical equipment skills
-working knowledge of Nehetho language/culture -able to perform responsibilities diligently
-reliable, punctual, maintains confidentiality -responsible/discreet in carrying out duties
-a valid driverĺs license & own vehicle are assets -satisfactory communication skills
