God's Lake Narrows First Nation School is a Nursery to Grade 9 school with 440 Full Time students of Cree heritage. The GLN School employs 24 Manitoba accreditation Teachers, a Team of 4 Special EducationTeachers and a support staff of 25+.
The School Calendar is designed to accommodate a flexible schedule to allow Professional Teachers to participate in on-reserve and off-reserve professional development. However,the Board is required to meet Manitoba Education days of operation and instructional time allotments.
The Cree name for God's Lake is Mantou Sakayigun which means "Lake of the God". God's Lake Narrows is a progressive community and offers a clean air environment. It is accessible by air on a daily basis to and from Winnipeg and Thompson.
