Immediate Openings School Year 2017-2018
The Canadian International School, Kunshan China (CISK) offers classes in English in all subject areas from Nursery to Grade 12, including daily Mandarin. Due to an increase in numbers, CISK requires additional teachers for the following positions:
- Physical Education Curriculum Specialist, to teach Grades 1-8;
- Early Years Foundation Program, Nursery, Junior and Senior Kindergarten;
- Primary, Junior, Grades 1-6.
Successful candidates selected for interviews, and if hired, are expected to be on campus in China, no later than August 15, 2017.
Ontario Education Model
Our curriculum is based on the Province of Ontario Education Model.
The school’s faculty are expected to become well versed in the Ontario Curriculum, be prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues in order to maximize student learning opportunities, implement effective strategies for student assessment and evaluation, be excellent role models; and willing to assume responsibilities for after school extra-curricular activities and/or supervision.
As of September, we will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma, beginning in Grade 11.
Minimum Academic/Professional Requirements
All candidates must hold an undergraduate degree, a B.Ed., and/or teaching certificate/license from an accredited Canadian university/Faculty of Education; and ideally, 2 years related work experience. Given the diverse nature of our student population, we do strive to be inclusive, and are open to applications from qualified and licensed applicants outside of Canada.
Visa Work Requirements
Due to country entry work requirements, and subject to district policies and protocols specific to the provincial jurisdiction in which CISK is located and governed, only “native English speakers” from qualifying English speaking countries, will be considered.
