Openings School Year 2018-2019 – Creating Teacher Pools
It may seem early to apply, but if you are seriously considering teaching overseas next year or are currently teaching abroad, we invite your resume for openings in our Canadian International School, Kunshan. China (CISK), for the school year, 2018-2019.
Due to continuous growth in our school’s population, state of the art teaching facility, a growing reputation as a welcoming, caring and learning school community; and our recent accreditation, that allows us to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, IBDP, we will need teachers for the school year 2018-2019, for the following positions:
- Early Years Foundation Program, Pre-School Nursery, Junior and Senior Kindergarten;
- Primary, Junior Division, Grades 1-6;
- Intermediate Division, Grades 7-10;
- Senior Division, Grades 11-12.
Ontario Education Model
Our curriculum is based on the Province of Ontario Education Model. The school’s faculty are expected to become well versed in the Ontario Curriculum, be prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues in order to maximize student learning opportunities, implement effective strategies for student assessment and evaluation, be excellent role models; and willing to assume responsibilities for after school extra-curricular activities and/or supervision.
Minimum Academic/Professional Requirements
All candidates must hold as a minimum, a B.Ed. or its equivalent undergraduate degree, a teaching certificate/license from an accredited university, 2 years related work experience. Given the diverse nature of our student population, we do strive to be inclusive, and are open to applications from qualified and licensed applicants outside of Canada.
